Abbey's 6th Birthday!

This was in late November and seeing it was her turn for a party (I only do a party every 2nd or 3rd year) she celebrated with a few friends from school and church. My girls always have a "home party" because I feel there's something special about celebrations at home amongst your family. I know i remember the fun games and yummy food my Mum used to prepare for us. So we played "pin the tiara on abbey (an outline of her anyway!)", musical cushions, statues, pass-the-parcel, hat-decorating amongst other things. And ate yummy fairy bread, chocolate crackles and hot food. She had a ball!

This year I also bought my daughter a rose - she is such a delightful young lady and she relished the gift as if it had been her only present! She is a girl who dreams of the more classical leisures in life and loves musicals, dancing, playing with dolls, reading and..... long distance running!! (who'd a thought?!) So next year she is really keen to try classical ballet and was over the moon to buy her first pair of ballet shoes for her 6th birthday. Happy birthday my beautiful Star!

3 years old ...and a bit!

Hip Hip Hooray!

Oops!! Been quite the slack blogger lately although i have been checking my favourites quite regularly!! Anyway, thought i better blog about my son's 3rd birthday seeing as it was quite a milestone. Jesse has grown up in leaps and bounds lately. He's not throwing quite so many tantrums which may or may not be because 1) we told him that when he turns 3 he doesn't need to throw them anymore (which i think he believed!) 2) he's speaking a lot better 3) he can finally tell us when his ears ARE blocked and he can't hear us properly! So together with a lot more sleep he's becoming quite a little angel and very much FUN to be around! Ok so maybe not an angel - but he does look at me very angelically ;)
He had a great birthday with family and received lots of fun BOY presents. His favourite is Buzz Lightyear (from Toy Story) which he affectionately calls "Buzzie" and zooms everywhere with him in tow! Of course now he has a fascination with jumping off things which this mother is none too sure about. He also got a scooter and bubble machine which he adores! So all in all he is becoming a lovely, fun and cheeky boy - even if his sisters still cop some whacks over the head with random objects....at least he goes straight to his "waiting place" in self-imposed discipline! hehehe what a lad!
