This was in late November and seeing it was her turn for a party (I only do a party every 2nd or 3rd year) she celebrated with a few friends from school and church. My girls always have a "home party" because I feel there's something special about celebrations at home amongst your family. I know i remember the fun games and yummy food my Mum used to prepare for us. So we played "pin the tiara on abbey (an outline of her anyway!)", musical cushions, statues, pass-the-parcel, hat-decorating amongst other things. And ate yummy fairy bread, chocolate crackles and hot food. She had a ball!
This year I also bought my daughter a rose - she is such a delightful young lady and she relished the gift as if it had been her only present! She is a girl who dreams of the more classical leisures in life and loves musicals, dancing, playing with dolls, reading and..... long distance running!! (who'd a thought?!) So next year she is really keen to try classical ballet and was over the moon to buy her first pair of ballet shoes for her 6th birthday. Happy birthday my beautiful Star!
