We have a book called "Goodbye, Hullo!" given to my eldest daughter by my good friend Floss. Now Jesse has taken quite a shine to this book and has progressively worked his way through in his own demanding way. See, it details how when you become a toddler you say goodbye to certain things like baby food, highchairs, boottees, bottles and instead say hello to grown up food, big chairs, lace up shoes, and big beds. Which is fine. except when Mum is not ready for her little baby boy to escape his cot to find a big bed...every night between the hours of 12 and 4....am that is. Scaling the cot sides like a native boy scales a coconut tree... Anyway back to the topic. Well Jesse pretty much refused to get into and stay in his cot so big boy bed it is. It's nice putting blue on a bed instead of pink though!! Grandpa and Nanny gave Jesse this great doona cover for Christmas and unknowingly i bought his cute concrete-truck cushion at the last baby market i went to in 2009.
So goodbye cot, hullo bed.... one jump and he's up!
He is just such a cute little man - and the plush truck goes perfectly with the new bed linen. It's a huge milestone in their development to go to a big bed.
ReplyDeleteI love his new bed - very "boyish"! Great truck & it matches perfectly. Putting them into a big bed is a major milestone - with the twins we did it because they were trying to get from one cot to the other (after they jumped them across the floor to touch) - we thought it was too dangerous! They've just gone into a bunk bed from those futons they were on! Don't they grow up too quickly.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all going well
