My little Ellie turned 8 in May. For such a fine young lady we were going to have a garden tea party in the park but alas Melbourne decided that winter would begin early and we had to have it inside at home. Nevertheless, these young ladies enjoyed dressing up in frocks, eating scones and sipping (juice) from the best china. Playing many an old-fashioned game with such vigor that Kieren nearly waved his white hankie!! Definitely an afternoon that won't be forgotten in a hurry...Ellie had a ball!
Our games included egg and spoon race, sack race, sardines, the chocolate game, statues, minty wrapper competition and a treasure hunt.
What a lovely idea for an 8 year old . The cake looked scrumptious. A pity the weather didn't come to the party.
